Rescue 2006

Rescue Coordinators: Mr & Mrs E Fogg, Telephone - 01738 624751 G.R.C.S. does not have a rescue centre or rescue kennels. The great majority of the 50 - 60 dogs rehoused each year are rehomed from the original owner to the new owner via an intermediary. In exceptional circumstances we can arrange kenneling until a home is found. All dogs for whom rehoming is requested are visited by a member of the club who reports to the coordinators. People offering to rehome will not be visited until it seems likely that a suitable home will be available. Anyone wishing to be considered for a golden, or who has a dog needing to be rehomed, should phone Edna or Eric Fogg for an application form. Sept 2006 - There is a seven year old golden being kenneled with one of our members at present. He is a lovely dog in the house but unfortunately he is a fighter with other dogs. If there is anyone who is strong enough to cope with this dog, probably walking him on a lead and checking him at the slightest sign of danger, we would be so glad to hear from them. In every other way, he is an absolutely lovely golden retriever. If you think you could handle him, please phone the Foggs on 01738 624751.

GUISACHAN GATHERING - 29/30 JULY, 2006

DESPITE SERIOUS CONSIDERATION THE G.R.C.S. HAVE RESISTED BILLING THIS ONE-OFF EVENT AS THE " GREAT GUISACHAN GOLDEN GATHERING".
INSTEAD WE HAVE KEPT IT SIMPLE - "GUISACHAN GATHERING" BUT WE ARE QUIETLY CONFIDENT IT WILL BE GREAT!

G.R.C.S. HAVE PURPOSELY NOT ADVERTISED THE GATHERING TO ANY GREAT EXTENT UNTIL FINAL ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.

HOWEVER, 'WORD OF MOUTH' HAS MORE THAN DONE IT'S JOB AS THE RESPONSE, PARTICULARLY FROM OVERSEAS HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING. MARGARET KERR & HUSBAND WILL BE THE MOST DISTANT TRAVELLED FROM N.Z.
