If you have a story you would like to share with the Golden Retriever world, whether it be informative, barking mad, amusing or sad then this is the place to post it.
We are also looking for amusing captions of your dogs at play (no show poses purrrleease) "woof, where'd that cat come from?"
The most compelling or amusing story of each month will receive a rosette for their time and effort. These rosettes will be sent (as pictures to print out and keep) to your email address and posted along with your story on the website - so don't forget to include your email address. This will also apply to the most bone-tickling picture received.
Due to this being the first newsletter, we have selected a few piccy's for you to view and it's your job to better.....

| This was the first time I have organised a Golden Retriever Working Test opposed to our usual Any Variety Retriever Tests. We were very pleased with the entry, not only in numbers but also in the quality of the dogs entered. The weather could have been warmer: it would have definitely been better if the wind had dropped a little but it did not spoil the very pleasant and friendly atmosphere and the sight of all the Golden’s mixing happily together, plus of course |
|
| Margam Country Park is such a lovely backdrop for watching the best of the Retriever breeds going through their paces. Many thanks to all the competitors, to our judge Lillian Keyes and to the very hard working committee who made the day go so well. The winners of each of the Tests received a bag of Skinners Field and Trial Crunch Gundog food |
| kindly donated by Skinners Dog Foods and a trophy donated by Torabbi Golden Retrievers. The Denerose perpetual trophy for the highest Golden Retriever with show qualification was won by Phyllis Southwell’s Denerose Gypsy Jewel. |
